Background: Phagocytosis is an important function of macrophages. However, when it's dysregulated, it could compromise homeostasis. Thus, this study aimed to assess the inhibitory activity of pterocarpanquinone LQB 118 on murine macrophage phagocytosis.

T cell-based immunotherapies have demonstrated effectiveness in treating diffuse large B cell lymphoma (DLBCL) and follicular lymphoma (FL) but predicting response and understanding resistance remains a challenge. To address this, we developed syngeneic models reflecting the genetics, epigenetics, and immunology of human FL and DLBCL. We show that EZH2 inhibitors reprogram these models to re-express T cell engagement genes and render them highly immunogenic.

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) is a prevalent chronic lung condition of unknown etiology characterized by fibrosis and inflammation. Lung scarring progresses owing to cytokines and immune cells that promote inflammation and fibrosis in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). The anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic properties of the ethyl acetate extract of Clerodendrum phlomidis (CPEA), derived from the Indian plant "agnimantha," are recognized in traditional Ayurvedic medicine.

Lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced activation of microglia triggers the release of neuroinflammatory molecules, contributing to the progression of neurodegenerative diseases. Targeting these neuroinflammatory molecules could serve as a potential therapeutic strategy. Given the evidence supporting the immune-boosting properties of curcumin (Curc) and the protective effects of monophosphoryl lipid A (MPL) in the central nervous system (CNS) related to Alzheimer's disease (AD), this study aimed to assess the anti-inflammatory effects of these compounds on primary rat microglial cells, which are crucial in the response to neuroinflammation.
