Psychological chronic pain treatments have variable efficacy across individual patients, and on average tend to produce modest effects. In order to improve treatment outcomes, the past decade has seen a rapid increase in research focused on determining the mechanisms underlying treatment-related gains. The near exclusive focus of this research has been on uncovering patient-related mediators and moderators.

Background: Medication nonadherence remains a significant challenge in the management of chronic conditions, often leading to suboptimal treatment outcomes and increased health care costs. Innovative interventions that address the underlying factors contributing to nonadherence are needed. Gamified mobile apps have shown promise in promoting behavior change and engagement.

Background: Growing evidence suggests a potential link between periodontal disease and the development of atherosclerosis, positioning periodontal disease as a possible risk factor for cardiovascular diseases (CVD). This study aimed to evaluate periodontal status in patients with coronary artery disease (CAD) by measuring the Periodontal Inflamed Surface Area (PISA) score in individuals undergoing coronary angiography.
Material And Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 300 patients scheduled for coronary angiography at K.

Protein-nanoparticle interactions and the resulting corona formation play crucial roles in the behavior and functionality of nanoparticles in biological environments. In this study, we present a comprehensive analysis of protein corona formation with superfolder green fluorescent protein (sfGFP) and bovine serum albumin in silica nanoparticle dispersions using small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). For the first time, we subtracted the scattering of individual proteins in solution and individual nanoparticles from the protein-nanoparticle complexes.

Objective: To explore the knowledge-action gap regarding health behaviors and their influencing factors among patients with metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), using the Health Belief Model as a theoretical framework.
Design: A qualitative approach was adopted, involving semistructured interviews with individuals with MAFLD.
Setting: Participants were recruited from a community hospital and a tertiary hospital in Nanjing, China, between July and October 2022.
