Objective: This study aims to analyze anatomical parameters of the transmission route of sigmoid sinus tinnitus (SST) to explore its mechanism and speculate on possible responsible anatomical abnormalities.

Methods: Clinical data were retrospectively collected from SST and sigmoid sinus wall dehiscence (SSWD) patients suggested by temporal bone high resolution computed tomography (HRCT), with and without tinnitus, at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University from January 2015 to August 2022. Patients were divided into SSWD tinnitus ( = 61), and non-tinnitus ( = 60) groups based on HRCT features.

Immune cells express a variety of ion channels and transporters in the plasma membrane and intracellular organelles, responsible of the transference of charged ions across hydrophobic lipid membrane barriers. The correct regulation of ion transport ensures proper immune cell function, activation, proliferation, and cell death. Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disease in which the Cystic Fibrosis Transmembrane Conductance Regulator (CFTR) chloride channel gene is defective, consequently, the CFTR protein is dysfunctional, and the chloride efflux in CF cells is markedly impaired.

The study evaluated the application of a novel high-pressure microbial inactivation method combining dense carbon dioxide with modified atmosphere packaging on organic fresh-cut squash (Cucurbita moschata). Approximately 4 g or 32 g of squash was packed in plastic pouches filled with CO to test two different gas-to-product ratios and treated with the high-pressure method at previously optimized process conditions (45 °C, 6.0 MPa and 40 min).

The present study focused on the influence of training methods and task difficulty on event-related potentials (ERPs) at early and later visual perceptual learning (VPL) on a coherent motion identification task. Sixty participants were randomly divided into four groups for training with an adaptive stimulus (staircase group) and three constant stimuli (moderate, easy and difficult intensity groups). Visual performance improved in the staircase and moderate training groups but not in the easy or difficult training groups.
