Ethnopharmacological Relevance: In Moroccan traditional medicine, plants from the Apiaceae family are widely utilized in folk medicine to treat various diseases associated with the digestive system. plays an important role as an antispasmodic that has been traditionally used, especially to treat digestive tract diseases in children.
Aim Of The Study: The aim of this research was to verify the traditional use by assessing the relaxant and spasmolytic activities of essential oil (ALEO) and then comparing them to the effects and potency of the major constituent of ALEO, which is perillaldehyde.

We aim to discover new safety signals of drug-induced sleep apnoea (SA), a global health problem affecting approximately 1 billion people worldwide. We first conducted a series of sequence symmetry analyses (SSA) in a cohort composed from all patients who received a first SA diagnosis or treatment between 2006 and 2018 in the Echantillon Généraliste des Bénéficaires (EGB), a random sample of the French healthcare database. We used two primary outcomes to estimate the sequence ratio (SR) for all drug classes available in France: a sensitive one (diagnosis or treatment of SA) and a specific one (Positive Airway Pressure (PAP) therapy).

Nicotinic acetylcholine receptors (nAChRs) are expressed in excitable and non-excitable cells of the organism. Extensive studies suggest that nAChR ligands have therapeutic potential, notably for neurological and psychiatric disorders. Organometallic ruthenium complexes are known to inhibit several medically important enzymes such as cholinesterases.

Ceftriaxone upregulates GLT1 glutamate transporter in the brain and may have anti-CFC and anti-OCD effects. Twenty WZ-5HT rats were used to investigate the effects of ceftriaxone on obsessive-compulsive (OCD)-like behaviour in the marble-burying (MB) test, freezing behaviour in contextual fear conditioning (CFC) and expression of GLT1 protein in the hippocampus or amygdala using immunoblots. Fifteen DBA/2J mice were used in the MB test.

Neuropeptides are small molecules that mediate intercellular signaling and regulate physiological processes. Starfish possess various myoactive neuropeptides, including starfish myorelaxant peptide (SMP) and a calcitonin-type peptide with apical muscle relaxing properties. In this study, we report the purification of a neuropeptide from starfish (Patiria pectinifera) pyloric caeca extract using high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and an in vitro bioassay to screen for fractions and peptides with relaxing effects on P.
