Objective: To investigate the clinical efficacy of percutaneous prying combined with modified rotary reduction with needle in the treatment of supracondylar fracture of humerus in Gartland type Ⅳ children, and to evaluate the postoperative elbow joint function, the incidence of elbow varus deformity and the application prospect of this technique.

Methods: A total of 98 children diagnosed with Gartland type Ⅳ supracondylar humeral fractures between June 2020 and January 2023 were included in this study, comprising of 57 males and 41 females. The age ranged from 2 to 14 years old with an average of (6.

Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility and accuracy of a robotic device used clinically in soft tissues (abdomen and lung), modified in design and workflow, to perform needle insertion in percutaneous bone procedures.

Methods: The primary objective was safety (severe complications) of robotic-assisted insertion in this new application. Secondary objectives were feasibility (placement technical success), performance (acceptable insertions rate), accuracy (lateral deviation), number of intermediate CT-scans and tolerance (minor/moderate complications).

Percutaneous biopsy is the standard of care for breast lesions, except nipple lesions which are primarily biopsied by excision due to perceived risks of pain and bleeding. However, excisional biopsy of nipple lesion inevitably leads to disfigurement and possible loss of the nipple-areolar complex (NAC), highlighting the need for minimally invasive biopsy techniques. We present our experience of seven patients who underwent ultrasound-guided core biopsy or vacuum-assisted biopsy (VAB) for sampling of clinically occult nipple lesions.

Design of a wasp-inspired biopsy needle capable of self-propulsion and friction-based tissue transport.

Percutaneous pancreatic core biopsy is conclusive but challenging due to large-diameter needles, while smaller-diameter needles used in aspiration methods suffer from buckling and clogging. Inspired by the ovipositor of parasitic wasps, which resists buckling through self-propulsion and prevents clogging via friction-based transport, research has led to the integration of these functionalities into multi-segment needle designs or tissue transport system designs. This study aimed to combine these wasp-inspired functionalities into a single biopsy needle by changing the interconnection of the needle segments.
