Background: Disseminated tuberculosis (dTB) disease is associated with a significant burden of morbidity and mortality and it requires improved awareness among clinicians. Case reports revealing the clinical and microbiological characteristics of dTB patients will help us to extend our knowledge of dTB. In our study, we have documented dTB cases followed for 6 years and revealed patients' clinical characteristics.

The National Tuberculosis Programme (NTBP) monitors the occurrence and spread of tuberculosis (TB) and multidrug-resistant TB (MDR-TB) in Singapore. Since 2020, whole-genome sequencing (WGS) of isolates has been performed at the National Public Health Laboratory (NPHL) for genomic surveillance, replacing spoligotyping and mycobacterial interspersed repetitive unit-variable number tandem repeats analysis (MIRU-VNTR). Four thousand three hundred and seven samples were sequenced from 2014 to January 2023, initially as research projects and later developed into a comprehensive public health surveillance programme.

Patients with pulmonary disease are more likely to experience poor treatment outcomes if they have been observed with microbiological persistence after 6 months of treatment. This study aims to identify the risk factors for microbiological persistence and describe the changes in the minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) during antimycobacterial treatment. This retrospective case-control study enrolled patients diagnosed with pulmonary disease between April 2017 and September 2021 at Shanghai Pulmonary Hospital.

Purpose: Isoniazid-monoresistant tuberculosis (Hr-TB) has emerged as a global challenge, necessitating detailed guidelines for its diagnosis and treatment. We aim to consolidate the Korean guidelines for Hr-TB management by gathering expert opinions and reaching a consensus.
Patients And Methods: A conventional Delphi method involving two rounds of surveys was conducted with 96 experts selected based on their clinical and research experience and involvement in nationwide tuberculosis studies and development of the Korean guidelines on tuberculosis.
