: Ageing is associated with several cognitive, physical, and emotional changes, including a decrease in sleep quality and mental health issues. This study studies NESA (Spanish acronym for Neuromodulación Superficial Aplicada) non-invasive neuromodulation using microcurrents as something that may provide a potential improvement in the quality of sleep and general health of older adults and residents in a healthcare institution. : This observational study recruited 24 people who were residents at a long-term care facility.

This study involved 72 volunteers divided into two groups according to the apnea-hypopnea index (AHI): AHI>15 episodes per hour (ep/h) (main group, n=39, including 28 men, median AHI 44.15, median age 47), 0≤AHI≤15ep/h (control group, n=33, including 12 men, median AHI 2, median age 28). Each participant underwent polysomnography with a recording of 19 EEG channels.

Aim: The study aimed to explore the moderating role of the alternate Mediterranean diet (aMED) adherence on the association between sedentary behavior and insomnia symptoms in postmenopausal women.
Methods: Data regarding postmenopausal women were obtained for this cross-sectional study from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) 2005-2008. Sedentary behavior and insomnia symptoms were assessed using the questionnaire.

Background: Rapid eye movement sleep behavior disorder (RBD) is associated with pathological α-synuclein deposition and may have different damage directions due to α-synuclein spreading orientations. Recent functional imaging studies of Parkinson's disease (PD) with RBD have identified abnormalities in connectivity, but effective connectivity (EC) for this altered orientation is understudied. Here, we aimed to explore altered intrinsic functional connectivity (FC) and EC in PD patients with probable RBD (pRBD).

Objectives: Children with asthma living in urban environments are at risk for disrupted sleep due to the presence of nocturnal asthma symptoms and urban stressors. Suboptimal sleep can affect children's daily functioning. The current study examined the effects of experimental sleep disruption on daytime performance in children with persistent asthma from urban backgrounds.
