Enthesitis related arthritis (ERA) is a specific type of juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) and ERA typically begins with enthesitis and peripheral arthritis in the lower extremities, progressing later in the disease to sacroiliitis and spinal involvement. The condition has a strong relationship with the HLA-B27 and primarily affects boys between the ages of 13 and 16 years. We describe an unusual presentation of ERA in a young boy with pubic pain and fever, describing its quintessential magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) findings.

Autoinflammatory bone disorders (ABDs) are characterized by sterile bone inflammation stemming from dysregulated innate immune responses. This review focuses on the occurrence of sterile osteomyelitis in ABDs and related diseases, notably chronic nonbacterial osteomyelitis (CNO) and its sporadic and monogenic forms, such as deficiency of the interleukin-1 (IL-1) receptor antagonist, Majeed syndrome, CNO related to mutation, and pyogenic arthritis, pyoderma gangrenosum, and acne (PAPA syndrome). Introduction: Certain types of muscular dystrophy (MD), notably facioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD), exhibit muscle fiber necrosis with regeneration and a nonspecific inflammatory process. Although rare, the coexistence of MDs and autoimmune myositis has been observed. We hypothesized that, in some circumstances, FSHD may predispose individuals to myositis through muscle damage-induced autoantigen overexpression, contributing to an autoimmune response.

The aim of this article is to determine the safety and efficacy of core decompression (CD) combined with injection of autologous bone marrow concentrate (BMC), demineralized bone matrix (DBM), and platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) for treating femoral head osteonecrosis. Seventy-seven patients (53 males and 24 females) for a total of 87 hips were treated for hip osteonecrosis with CD combined with injection of autologous BMC, DBM, and PRF at Rizzoli Orthopedic Institute from September 2008 to December 2019. Patients were assessed at baseline, at 45 days, and at 3, 6, 12, 24, and 36 months postoperatively.
