This study introduces the development of a highly sensitive label-free electrochemical immunosensor specifically designed to detect prostate-specific antigen (PSA). A glassy carbon electrode (GCE) coated with Au nanoparticles/polyhedral hollow CoCu bimetallic sulfide (CuCoS) was employed as a sensing interface for the fixation of the monoclonal anti-PSA antibody. The nanoarchitectures enhanced the capacity for loading prostate-specific antibodies (Ab) and effectually boosted electrical conductivity leading to enhance the electrochemical signal and greater sensitivity for the detection of PSA.

The preparation of food-grade oxidized starch with eco-friendly ozone (O) as oxidant is limited by low mass transfer and reaction efficiency. This study proposed a porous spontaneously polarized ceramic-reinforced O micro-nano bubbles (PSPC-OMNB) technology to prepare oxidized cassava starch (PSPC-OMCS). Meanwhile, reaction uniformity, physicochemical properties, and formation mechanisms were emphasized for comprehensive investigation.

Organic field-effect transistors (OFETs) integrated with commercial transistors are promising sensing platforms characterized by enhanced device uniformity, functional diversity, and electrical output stability. Aptamers with charged backbones and a high affinity for target molecules are anticipated to mitigate the limitations imposed by Debye screening in physiological environments with high ionic strength, thereby facilitating specific biological recognition in complex surroundings. This study presents two reliable OFET aptasensors for vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) and offers a systematic comparison of their performance.
