Electrochemiluminescence (ECL) combines electrochemical redox processes with photochemical light emission, offering exceptional sensitivity, spatial control, and stability. Widely applied in biosensing, medical diagnostics, and environmental monitoring, its efficiency often depends on advanced catalytic materials. Single-atom catalysts (SACs), featuring isolated metal atoms dispersed on a support, have emerged as promising candidates due to their unique electronic structures, high atom utilization, and tunable catalytic properties.

In the present study, magnetic-calcined bamboo composite adsorbents (MCBC200, MCBC400, MCBC600, MCBC800, and MCBC1000) were prepared, and their physicochemical characteristics (scanning electron microscope images, differential thermogravimetric analysis, Fourier transform-IR, specific surface area, surface functional groups, and point of zero charge [pH]) were evaluated. Furthermore, the adsorption capacity of methylene blue (MB, cationic dye) using the prepared adsorbents was assessed. The value of pH and the specific surface area of MCBC400 were 7.

Salmonid fishes are well adapted to transition between salinities as part of a diadromid lifestyle, and many species are both economically and environmentally important. Ion-transporting gill epithelium helps fishes maintain ion balance during salinity transition. Recent transcriptomic surveys suggest that voltage-gated ion channels (VGICs) are present in gill epithelium of fishes.

Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Parkinson's disease (PD) is one of the most common neurodegenerative disorders, yet effective therapeutic options remain limited. Dendrobium huoshanense (DH), a medicinal and edible herb mainly distributed in Ta-pieh Mountains of Central China, has been used to treat disorders of consciousness and chronic nervous diseases in the local hospital for thousands of years. Erianin, a bioactive bibenzyl compound isolated from DH, has emerged as a potential neuroprotective agent due to its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.
