Objective: Fracture risk is increased in longstanding type 2 diabetes (T2D). High-resolution peripheral quantitative CT scans have demonstrated higher cortical porosity in T2D complicated by microvascular disease (MVD). We investigated if cortical bone resorption is followed by inadequate bone formation in individuals with T2D complicated by MVD.

Background: Systemic lupus erythematosus is a common autoimmune disease. Studies have suggested that defective stem cells could be involved in the pathogenesis of systemic lupus erythematosus, which leads to changes in the function of immune cells. By observing the cell morphology, autophagy, and senescence of bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells (BMSCs) from lupus mice and normal controls, this study investigated the role of IL-6 in autophagy and senescence of BMSCs and explored relevant mechanisms.

. To develop an augmentation method that simulates cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) related motion artifacts, which can be used to generate training-data to increase the performance of artificial intelligence models dedicated to auto-contouring tasks. The augmentation technique generates data that simulates artifacts typically present in CBCT imaging.

Background: Texture analysis has the potential to deliver quantitative imaging markers. Patients receiving computed tomography (CT)-guided percutaneous bone biopsies could be characterized using texture analysis derived from CT. Especially for breast cancer (BC) patients, it could be crucial to better predict the outcome of the biopsy to better reflect the immunohistochemistry status of the tumor.

Purpose: Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) Positron emission tomography/magnetic resonance imaging (PET/MRI) surpasses conventional MRI (cMRI) in prostate cancer (PCa) evaluation. Our objective is to evaluate correlation of quantitative parameters in PCa using Fluorine-18 (F-18) PSMA-1007 PET/MRI and their potential for predicting metastases.
Methods: This retrospective study included 51 PCa patients.
