Iron is supplied from diverse sources such as the atmosphere and the geosphere, and hence iron biogeochemical research has focused on identifying and quantifying such sources of "new" iron. However, the recycling of this new iron fuels up to 90% of the productivity in vast oceanic regions.

The application of regenerative therapy through stem cell transplantation has emerged as a promising avenue for the treatment of diabetes mellitus (DM). Transplanted tissue homeostasis is affected by disturbances in the clock genes of stem cells. The aim of this study is to investigate the diurnal variation in mitochondrial genes and function after transplantation of adipose-derived mesenchymal stem cells (T2DM-ADSCs) from type 2 diabetic patients into immunodeficient mice.

Markers of endothelial dysfunction and activation of the coagulation system may predict cardiovascular pathology. The present study aim was to investigate the effects of shift work, SJL, and chronotype on endothelial function and coagulation parameters.

The genus Otomys exhibits diverse activity patterns in the field, making them ideal subjects for studying circadian biology. The Southern African vlei rat (Otomys auratus) has previously been categorised as diurnal or crepuscular, but also displays some nocturnal activity. This study aimed to confirm the temporal niche of vlei rats in a laboratory setting and examine changes in activity when provided with a running wheel.
