Objectives: To report outcomes after the use of the Omniflow II biosynthetic graft (LeMaitre Vascular, Il, USA) for vascular reconstruction in patients with prosthetic infection at the aorto-iliac and femoropopliteal level.
Methods: Within a six-year period, all consecutive patients with aorto-iliac and femoro-popliteal graft infection treated by resection of the infected graft material, extensive local debridement and reconstruction using Omniflow II biosynthetic graft were retrospectively analzyed. Patient characteristics, intraoperative details, postoperative outcomes, and infection details were assessed.

Background: Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a significant morbidity following major open abdominal surgery. While there are clear recommendations for perioperative and post-discharge VTE chemoprophylaxis in general surgery, guidance for vascular patients is unclear. We compared the incidence of VTE in vascular versus general surgery cases and then investigated the timing of VTE in vascular patients.

Electronic address:
Purpose: To evaluate the feasibility of aortoiliac CT-Angiography (CTA) using dual-source photon-counting detector (PCD)-CT with minimal iodine dose.
Methods: This IRB-approved, single-center prospective study enrolled patients with indications for aortoiliac CTA from December 2022 to March 2023. All scans were performed using a first-generation dual-source PCD-CT.

Purpose: to investigate the effects of vessel geometry on steno-occlusive and dilatative common iliac artery (CIA) pathologies.
Methods: this single-center, retrospective study included 100 participants, namely 60 participants with a unilateral, isolated CIA pathology who were divided into three pathology-based groups (a stenosis group, = 20, an occlusion group, = 20, and an aneurysm group, = 20) and 40 participants without a CIA pathology (control group). All participants underwent abdominal and pelvic computed tomography angiography.

Purpose: This systematic review aimed to compare covered stent (CS) and bare-metal stent (BMS) implantation in treating aortoiliac occlusive disease.
Materials And Methods: Comprehensive searches were conducted in the MEDLINE, Embase, and Cochrane Library databases for all pertinent studies. The end points included primary patency, secondary patency, freedom from target lesion revascularization (TLR), technical success, ankle-brachial index (ABI) improvement, periprocedural adverse events, major amputation, and mortality.
