Monocular depth estimation based on unsupervised learning has attracted great attention due to the rising demand for lightweight monocular vision sensors. Inspired by multi-task learning, semantic information has been used to improve the monocular depth estimation models. However, multi-task learning is still limited by multi-type annotations.

Investigation of a real-time location system of corneal astigmatic axis.

Eye Vis (Lond)

September 2017

The Eye Hospital of Wenzhou Medical University, 270 Xueyuan West Road, Wenzhou, (325000) Zhejiang People's Republic of China.

Background: To construct a real-time computerized location system (RCLS) to analyze and display the axis of corneal astigmatism and to compare its accuracy with the Scheimpflug method.

Methods: Fifty-seven eyes of 39 volunteers with corneal astigmatism more than 1.00 diopter (D) were recruited.

Objectives: With current cochlear implants (CIs), CI recipients achieve good speech perception in quiet surroundings. However, in acoustically complex, real-life environments, speech comprehension remains difficult and sound quality often remains poor. It is, therefore, a challenge to program CIs for such environments in a clinic.

Objective: To compare the tilted abutment teeth restored with or without fixed bridge on stress distribution by anisotropic finite element method when the vertical and the oblique loads are simulated.

Methods: Three-dimensional finite element model was constructed by using SCT image reconstruction technique, self-programming and ANSYS software with the anisotropic elasticity data. The static loads were simulated according to the restored and unrestored situation.

Flood area and damage estimation in Zhejiang, China.

J Environ Manage

September 2002

34 Tianmushan Road, Department of Earth Science, Xixi Campus of Zhejiang University, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province 310028, P. R. China.

A GIS-based method to estimate flood area and damage is presented in this paper, which is oriented to developing countries like China, where labor is readily available for GIS data collecting, and tools such as, HEC-GeoRAS might not be readily available. At present local authorities in developing countries are often not predisposed to pay for commercial GIS platforms. To calculate flood area, two cases, non-source flood and source flood, are distinguished and a seed-spread algorithm suitable for source-flooding is described.
