Strongyloidiasis is a parasitic nematode infection mainly caused by Strongyloides stercoralis. Immunocompromised conditions, particularly cancer patients treated with chemotherapy and corticosteroids, have a significant risk of developing Strongyloides hyperinfection. The lack of a gold standard laboratory method to rule out this infection and the insensitivity of microscopic stool examination due to low and intermittent larvae output in stool contribute to the low detection rate of this infection.

The aim of this study was to detect chicken parvovirus (ChPV) and turkey parvovirus (TuPV) on Turkish poultry farms and examine the molecular epidemiology of these viruses. In 2023, a total of 1,060 fecal samples were collected from 76 broiler farms and 30 turkey farms across various regions of Turkiye. The overall positivity rate was 72.

Patients And Methods: Materials and Methods: During the period from 2019 to 2023 at the department's clinic, 68 patients with chronic wounds of the lower extremities were examined and treated. These are mainly women (n=63) aged from 35 to 80 years.
