Racial disparities in neuropsychological test performance are well documented in Alzheimer's Disease (AD) but have received little attention in frontotemporal degeneration (FTD). Identification of potential disparities in neuropsychological performance is critical to identify ways to improve inclusivity in clinical research and care of representative FTD populations. We evaluated disparities in neuropsychological performance among individuals with clinically diagnosed FTD (behavioral variant FTD [bvFTD] or primary progressive aphasia [PPA]) using data from the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center (NACC) collected between September 2005 and November 2023.

Introduction: Early-onset Alzheimer's disease (EOAD) and late-onset Alzheimer's disease (LOAD) share similar amyloid etiology, but evidence from smaller-scale studies suggests that they manifest differently clinically. Current analyses sought to contrast the cognitive profiles of EOAD and LOAD.
Methods: Z-score cognitive-domain composites for 311 amyloid-positive sporadic EOAD and 314 amyloid-positive LOAD participants were calculated from baseline data from age-appropriate control cohorts.

Background: Stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS) is a validated treatment option for cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs), even if a greater knowledge of its potential delayed complications is still being acquired.
Case Description: A 49-year-old man suffered multiple episodes of cerebral hemorrhage in an approximate 10-year follow-up interval in the context of a left central core AVM with deep venous drainage into the internal cerebral veins (Spetzler Martin Grade 4) despite being treated with gamma knife radiosurgery at two separate timepoints, and with an almost complete obliteration confirmed. Approximately 10 years after the first radiosurgery treatment, he developed severe motor aphasia, Grade 3 right hemiparesis, progressive confusion, and memory deficits.

Objective: Anti-N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor (NMDAR) encephalitis is frequently associated with ovarian teratomas. The diverse clinical presentations and several stages of disease development pose a significant diagnostic challenge for clinicians. The main objective of this research was to show the prevalence of neuropsychiatric symptoms of ovarian-teratoma-associated anti-NMDAR encephalitis and to highlight the importance of multidisciplinary collaboration in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease progression.
