Germ cell tumours are usually found in the gonads, while the most common extragonadal site is the anterior mediastinum. When these tumours involve the tracheobronchial tree, patients present with trichoptysis or coughing up of hair. Background: SARS-CoV-2 virus which targets the lung vasculature is supposed to affect both pulmonary and bronchial arteries. This study evaluated the tracheobronchial vascularization density observed with narrow band imaging (NBI) in patients hospitalized for COVID-19 pneumonia. To determine if the observed changes were specific of COVID-19 patients, the procedure was also performed in non-COVID-19 patients.

Pulmonary sequestration (PS) is a rare congenital malformation that is characterized by the absence of a connection between a portion of the lung tissue and the tracheobronchial tree, with blood supply from arteries throughout the body. Abnormal lung tissue cannot perform the normal gas exchange function. In the absence of timely diagnosis and early intervention, some cases may need labor induction, and some of the infants who survive may develop symptoms in childhood.
