Deep and accurate proteome analysis is crucial for understanding cellular processes and disease mechanisms; however, it is challenging to implement in routine settings. In this protocol, we combine a robust chromatographic platform with a high-performance mass spectrometric setup to enable routine yet in-depth proteome coverage for a broad community. Introduction: Soft tissue defect in the lower limb presents as a difficult reconstructive challenge. Cross-leg flap was routinely used in the past for the salvage of the lower limb but is seldom used nowadays due to advances in microsurgical procedures.

Case Presentation: We present a case of an 18-year-old male who presented with a complex soft tissue defect of 25 × 10 cm on the anterolateral aspect of the right leg following a motor vehicle accident.

Convergent-beam attosecond x-ray crystallography.

Sub-ångström spatial resolution of electron density coupled with sub-femtosecond to few-femtosecond temporal resolution is required to directly observe the dynamics of the electronic structure of a molecule after photoinitiation or some other ultrafast perturbation, such as by soft X-rays. Meeting this challenge, pushing the field of quantum crystallography to attosecond timescales, would bring insights into how the electronic and nuclear degrees of freedom couple, enable the study of quantum coherences involved in molecular dynamics, and ultimately enable these dynamics to be controlled. Here, we propose to reach this realm by employing convergent-beam x-ray crystallography with high-power attosecond pulses from a hard-x-ray free-electron laser.

Younger adults (YA) and older adults (OA) used a joystick to stabilize an unstable visual inverted pendulum (VIP) with a fundamental frequency (.27 Hz) of half that of bipedal human sway. Their task was to keep the VIP upright and to avoid ± 60° "fall" boundaries.

The role of spatial processing in verbal serial order working memory.

In a sequence, at least two aspects of information-the identity of items and their serial order-are maintained and supported by distinct working memory (WM) capacities. Verbal serial order WM is modulated by spatial processing, reflected in the Spatial Position Association of Response Codes (SPoARC) effect-the left-beginning, right-end positional association between space and serial position of verbal WM memoranda. We investigated the individual differences in this modulation with both behavioral and neurobiological approaches.
