This study was aim to investigate the effects of lipoic acid (ALA) on performance, meat quality, serum biochemistry and antioxidant function of broilers under heat stress (HS). Two hundred1-day-old Cobb broilers were randomly divided into four treatment groups and each treatment consisted of 4 replicates of 10 broilers each. The treatment group adopts a 2 × 2 two-factor setting, which is divided into two diets (basic diet or 250 mg/kg ALA diet) and two temperatures (24 ± 1℃ or 33 ± 1℃).

Antibiotic residues pose a significant threat to global health. Traditional detection methods for antibiotics are cumbersome, time-consuming and often incapable of achieving non-destructive detection at low temperatures. This research introduces a groundbreaking innovation in antibiotic detection: a flexible Surface-Enhanced Raman Scattering substrate based on a silver composite deep eutectic solvent (DES) gel, specifically engineered for low-temperature antibiotic detection.

As a veterinary drug, sulfamethazine is frequently used to control animal diseases. In this study, a novel molecularly imprinted photonic crystal sensor for the fast visual detection of sulfamethazine in milk and chicken has been developed. Under optimum preparation conditions, a molecularly imprinted, photonic crystal with an anti-opal structure and a clear bright color was prepared and characterized.
