Background: The demand for orthodontic treatment using clear aligners has been gradually increasing because of their superior esthetics compared with conventional fixed orthodontic therapy. This study aimed to evaluate and compare the compressive strength of three-dimensional direct printing aligners (3DPA) with that of conventional thermo-forming aligners (TFA) to determine their clinical applicability. In the experimental group, the 3DPA material TC-85 (TC-85 full) was used to create angular protrusions called rectangular pressure areas (RPA).

With the increasing demand for thermal management, phase change materials (PCMs) have garnered widespread attention due to their unique advantages in energy storage and temperature regulation. However, traditional PCMs present challenges in modification, with commonly used physical methods facing stability and compatibility issues. This study introduces a simple and effective chemical method by synthesizing seven ester-based PCMs through chemical reactions involving lauric acid (LA) and seven different alcohols.

The purpose of this article is to present a theory of therapy for stuttering, its related assumptions, and findings from associated empirical studies. Specifically, we propose the Blank Center CARE™ Model of Treatment (CT) for stuttering, which differs from the current, widely employed fluency model of treatment (FT). The CT reflects the authors' belief in the need to move away from fluency-focused or seemingly ableist treatments (i.

Silk-based biodegradable materials play an important role in tissue engineering, especially in the field of bone regeneration. However, while optimizing mechanical properties and bone regeneration characteristics, modified silk fibroin (SF)-based materials also increase the complexity of scaffold systems, which is not conducive to clinical translation. In this study, we first added synthetic biomimetic mineralized collagen (MC) particles to SF-based materials to improve the bone regeneration properties of the scaffolds and simultaneously regulated the degradation rate of the scaffolds to match the bone regeneration rate.
