This case report details a rare presentation of unicentric Castleman disease (UCD), hyaline vascular type in a 22-year-old woman. The patient presented with a large, well-circumscribed mass in the paravertebral region causing back pain and shortness of breath. Diagnostic imaging and biopsy confirmed the diagnosis, and surgical excision led to a favorable outcome.

Background: Primary pulmonary hyalinizing clear cell carcinoma (HCCC) is a rare type of primary salivary gland-type tumor of the lung. HCCC is characterized by unique pathological features, including nests, cords, or trabeculae of clear or eosinophilic tumor cells infiltrating a mucinous or hyalinized stroma. Additional analyses of this carcinoma have revealed positive epithelial markers via immunophenotyping and gene translocation through genetic testing.

Current clinical treatments, in most cases, lead to cartilage repair with deposition of fibrocartilage tissue, which is mechanically inferior and not as durable as hyaline cartilage tissue. Mesenchymal chondrosarcoma (MCS) is a rare, aggressive subtype of chondrosarcoma characterized by biphasic histology, often misdiagnosed due to its rarity and histological resemblance to other small round cell tumors. It predominantly affects adolescents and young adults. We report a 27-year-old male presenting with a progressively enlarging, painless mass in the right inframammary region, initially attributed to muscular strain.
