Background: Clinical Laser-Induced Thermotherapy (LITT) currently lacks precise control of tissue temperature increase during the procedure. This study presents a new method to automatically regulate the maximum temperature increase in vivo at different positions by adjusting LITT power delivered by multiple laser probes using real-time volumetric MR-thermometry.
Methods: The regulation algorithm was evaluated in vivo on a pig leg muscle.

Water pollution due to dyes in the textile industry is a serious environmental problem. During the finishing stage, Congo red (CR) dye, water-soluble, is released into wastewater, polluting the water body. This study explores the effectiveness of utilizing a composite composed of Safi raw clay and chitosan to remove an anionic dye from synthetic wastewater.

Background And Objective: The leaky gut syndrome is characterized by an intestinal hyperpermeability observed in multiple chronic disorders. Alterations of the gut barrier are associated with translocation of bacterial components increasing inflammation, oxidative stress and eventually dysfunctions of cellular interactions at the origin pathologies. Therapeutic and/or preventive approaches have to focus on the identification of novel targets to improve gut homeostasis.

The primary cause for cancer-related death is metastasis, and although this phenomenon is the hallmark of cancer, it remains poorly understood. Since studies on the underlying mechanisms are still demanding by experimental means prognostic tools based on computer models can be of great value, not only for elucidating metastasis formation but also for assessing the prospective benefits as well as risks of a therapy for patients with advanced cancer. Here, we present an agent-based model (ABM), describing the complete process of platelet-assisted extravasation of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) from the chemoattraction of blood platelets by the CTCs up to the embedding of the CTCs in the epithelial tissue by computational means.

Limitations Of Available Literature: Nowadays, coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is the world-wide pandemic due to its mutation over time. Several works done for covid-19 detection using different techniques however, the use of small datasets and the lack of validation tests still limit their works. Also, they depend only on the increasing the accuracy and the precision of the model without giving attention to their complexity which is one of the main conditions in the healthcare application.
