Objectives: Psychosocial factors are recognised as important determinants of pain experience in patients with inflammatory arthritides. Among them, pain catastrophising, a maladaptive cognitive style, observed in patients with anxiety and depressive disorders, garnered specific attention. Here, we evaluated pain catastrophising (PC) and its related domains (Rumination, Magnification, and Helplessness), in psoriatic arthritis (PsA) and axial spondyloarhtiritis (axSpA) participants, to assess its impact on disease activity.

Rheumatic and musculoskeletal immune related adverse events have to date not been widely recognized or well characterized. Psoriasic arthritis is a rare entity and it makes management of patients difficult due to the limited therapeutic possibilities and the strong impact on the quality of life.

Introduction: The risk of cancer with the use of biologic agents in rheumatic diseases is still a matter of debate. Published data suggest that the extent of cancer risk might differ according to the type of cancer, and there is recent clinical evidence for a significant increased risk for skin cancer, including melanoma. In contrast with the extensive literature on cancer risk in rheumatoid arthritis, little has been reported on the development of malignancies in spondyloarthroparthies.

We report a rare case of destructive polyarticular tophaceous gout in a 31-year-old Senegalese man. He consulted for bilateral asymmetric polyarthritis with deformities of the hands and feet that had been ongoing in recurrent episodes since the age of 18 years in association with tophus.
