Kidney stones, a common urological disease, may involve the brain-kidney axis in their formation, though the specific mechanism remains unclear. This study aimed to investigate the effects of blue light on relevant metabolic indicators and oxidative stress status in rats with kidney stones through the brain-kidney axis. A rat model of kidney stones was established by administering 1% ethylene glycol and 2% ammonium chloride.

Objective: Cloud-based, surgical augmented intelligence (Cydar Medical, Cambridge, UK) can be used for surgical planning and intraoperative imaging guidance during complex endovascular aortic procedures. We aim to evaluate radiation exposure, operative safety metrics, and post-operative renal outcomes following implementation of Cydar imaging guidance using a manually matched cohort of aortic procedures.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed our prospectively maintained database of endovascular aortic cases.

The inherently stochastic nature of radiation emissions makes modeling background radiation structure a particularly challenging research area. In source identification scenarios, which are critical to nuclear security, the complexity of background radiation modeling is intensified by dynamically changing factors that influence radiation measurements. Consequently, accurately modeling and estimating background radiation can significantly improve our nuclear security capabilities by enhancing the detection of anomalies within radiation data.

However, the protection ratio differs for the lead equivalent content and shape of the lenses. This study aimed to examine factors effective in reducing the lens dose by measuring the protection ratio of scattered radiation due to changes in the surgeon's face orientation, various lead equivalents, and shapes.

Background: Total glucosides of paeony (TGP), derived from the dried root of Paeonia, is a popular treatment for immune diseases. Radiation induced brain injury (RBI) is a common side effect of brain radiation therapy, but the efficacy of TGP in treating RBI remains uncertain.
Purpose: To evaluate the protective effects of TGP against RBI and elucidate its underlying mechanisms using pharmacological network analysis, molecular docking, and experimental validation.
