Single-cell RNA-sequencing (scRNA-seq) is a powerful method to comprehensively overlook gene expression profiles of individual cells in various tissues, providing fundamental datasets for classification of cell types and further functional analyses. Here we adopted scRNA-seq analysis for the zebrafish olfactory sensory neurons which respond to water-borne odorants and pheromones to elicit various behaviors crucial for survival and species preservation. Firstly, a single-cell dissociation procedure of the zebrafish olfactory rosettes was optimized by using cold-active protease, minimizing artifactual neuronal activation.

Physical, chemical, biogeochemical and biological data were collected during three visits to ocean observatory station P3, off the coast of South Georgia, during an austral spring bloom. A diverse range of equipment including CTD-rosette, Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), net deployments, marine snow catchers (MSCs), Stand Alone Pump System (SAPS) and PELAGRA Sediment Traps were used to produce a comprehensive, high-quality dataset.

Background: In the twentieth century, the textbook idea of packaging genomic material in the cell nucleus and metaphase chromosomes was the presence of a hierarchy of structural levels of chromatin organization: nucleosomes - nucleosomal fibrils -30 nm fibrils - chromomeres - chromonemata - mitotic chromosomes. Chromomeres were observed in partially decondensed chromosomes and interphase chromatin as ~100 nm globular structures. They were thought to consist of loops of chromatin fibres attached at their bases to a central protein core.

Molybdenum sulfide (MoS) has attracted much attention as a potential catalyst for the oxygen evolution reaction (OER), but its unique low activity and low edge active centers limit its electrocatalytic activity. In this study, catalysts were prepared by growing NiSe nanoclusters onto MoS substrates electrodeposition; ultrathin MoS nanosheets and NiSe nanoclusters were cross-linked with each other to form a unique three-dimensional rosette structure; and MoS@NiSe catalysts were successfully synthesised, which significantly improved bifunctional catalytic performance. The synthesised MoS@NiSe catalysts exhibited good electrochemical performance: overpotentials required to satisfy the HER and OER processes at a current density of 10 mA cm in 1 M KOH were 80 mV and 254 mV, respectively.

ABA-insensitive 5 (ABI5) belongs to the basic leucine zipper class of transcription factors and is named for being the fifth identified Arabidopsis mutant unresponsive to ABA. To understand the influence of ABI5 in its active state on downstream gene expression and plant growth and development, we overexpressed the full-length ABI5 (A.t.
