Aging is a major risk factor for Alzheimer's disease (AD). With the prevalence of AD increased, a mechanistic linkage between aging and the pathogenesis of AD needs to be further addressed. Here, we report that a small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO) modification of p53 is implicated in the process which remarkably increased in AD patient's brain.

Sleep is a fundamental phenomenon that helps maintain normal physiological processes. Conversely, sleep disorders, usually presented as insomnia, are a common public health problem that can lead to multiple pathophysiological changes in humans, including lipid metabolic abnormality. Interestingly, several previous studies have examined the potential relation of insomnia to metabolic syndrome and hyperlipidemia and found that insomnia was associated with elevated plasma cholesterol and triglyceride concentrations.

Background: The distribution of adverse events (AEs) triggered by immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) across different cancer types has never been demonstrated.
Methods: Randomised controlled trials exclusively assessing ICI monotherapy in cohorts of over 100 patients were considered. Our primary outcome was a comprehensive summary of the distribution of all-grade treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs) as well as serious TRAEs (CTCAE grade 3 or higher) across different malignancies.
