To minimize the number of casualties due to poisoning in coal mine gas explosions, the migration characteristics of harmful hot gas groups in the mine ventilation system following an explosion were analyzed. Through pipeline experiments, initial CO concentrations and residual temperatures after gas explosions were determined and used as key simulation parameters. Simulations were performed using the TF1M(3D) software based on the case of the gas explosion at the Tunlan Mine.

Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) have gained significant global attention due to their extensive industrial use and harmful effects on various organisms. Among these, perfluoroalkyl acids (PFAAs) are well-studied, but their diverse precursors remain challenging to monitor. The Total Oxidizable Precursor (TOP) assay offers a powerful approach to converting these precursors into detectable PFAAs.

Nowadays, polyethylene terephthalate (PET) bottles are widely used for packaging drinks and food. However, concerns have been raised about the possible migration of harmful chemicals, particularly phthalates, from these containers into their contents. Therefore, this study investigates the effects of sunlight exposure and PET bottle reuse on phthalate migration, focusing on three common phthalates: bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP), and benzyl butyl phthalate (BBP).

An increase in plastic waste and its release into the environment has led to health concerns over microplastics (MPs) in the environment. The intestinal mucosal layer is a key defense mechanism against ingested MPs, preventing the migration of particles to other parts of the body. MP migration through intestinal mucus is challenging to study due to difficulties in obtaining intact mucus layers for testing and numerous formulations, shapes, and sizes of microplastics.
