Chondroitin sulphate (CS) is a sulphated glycosaminoglycan (GAG) polysaccharide found on proteoglycans (CSPGs) in extracellular and pericellular matrices. Chondroitinase ABC (CSase ABC) derived from Proteus vulgaris is an enzyme that has gained attention for the capacity to cleave chondroitin sulphate (CS) glycosaminoglycans (GAG) from various proteoglycans such as Aggrecan, Neurocan, Decorin etc. The substrate specificity of CSase ABC is well-known for targeting various structural motifs of CS chains and has gained popularity in the field of neuro-regeneration by selective degradation of CS GAG chains.

Microfocused ultrasound (MFU) and (MRF) are non-invasive modalities widely used for skin rejuvenation and are often combined with injectables, including neuromodulators and soft tissue fillers. However, large-scale, long-term safety data on such combination therapies are lacking. To address this gap, we conducted a retrospective chart review at two private practice dermatology clinics in South Korea from June 2005 to December 2023.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is an important component of the skin's extracellular matrix, and its degradation leads to wrinkles. Hyaluronan-binding protein involved in hyaluronan depolymerization (HYBID) is the main factor responsible for HA degradation in dermis. This study aimed to identify natural plant materials that can effectively suppress HYBID expression and protect HA from degradation.

Introduction: KOA, a chronic degenerative joint disease, is commonly treated with intra-articular HA and PRP, used alone or in combination. However, the efficacy and safety of combination therapy (PRP + HA) remain unclear.
Aim: The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis is to assess the clinical effectiveness and safety profile of PRP + HA versus PRP monotherapy for KOA.

RNA interference (RNAi) and oxidative stress inhibition therapeutic strategies have been extensively utilized in the treatment of osteoarthritis (OA), the most prevalent degenerative joint disease. However, the synergistic effects of these approaches on attenuating OA progression remain largely unexplored. In this study, matrix metalloproteinase-13 siRNA (siMMP-13) was incorporated onto polyethylenimine (PEI)-polyethylene glycol (PEG) modified FeO nanoparticles, forming a nucleic acid nanocarrier termed si-Fe NPs.
