Herein, an Ag@g-CN/MoS heterostructure is successfully synthesized for efficient solar-to-water oxidation. UV-vis DRS and steady-state PL analyses reveal the narrow band gap (2.10 eV) and efficient charge separation properties of the Ag nanoparticles and MoS, respectively.

Polyacene analogues, consisting of short acene segments separated by nonbenzenoid rings, offer intriguing electronic properties and magnetic interactions. Pentalene-bridged polyacenes (PPs), in particular, hold promise for enhancing the electrical conductivity and potential open-shell ground states. However, PPs have remained elusive in solution chemistry due to poor solubility and limited synthetic protocols.

The adoption of carbon capture, utilization, and storage (CCUS) technology is increasingly prevalent, driven by the global initiative to conserve energy and reduce emissions. Nevertheless, CCUS has the potential to induce corrosion in equipment, particularly in high-pressure environments containing carbon dioxide (CO). Therefore, anti-corrosion protection is necessary for the metal utilized for CO production and storage equipment.

Plastic pollution and global warming are widespread issues that lead to several impacts on aquatic organisms. Despite harmful studies on both subjects, there are few studies on how temperature increases plastics' adverse effects on aquatic animals, mainly freshwater species. So, this study aims to clarify the potential impact of temperature increases on the toxicological properties of polyvinyl chloride nano-plastics (PVC-NPs) in Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) by measuring biochemical and oxidative biomarkers.
