Susac syndrome can resemble various disorders resulting in a delayed or missed diagnosis and subsequent delays in treatment. Here, we present how successful consideration of patient history, symptoms, and ancillary testing led to prompt diagnosis and treatment of Susac syndrome by ophthalmologists. A 27-year-old active duty infantryman presented with sudden vision loss in the right eye during strenuous exercise after experiencing similar symptoms in the left eye 5 months earlier.

Unlabelled: One of the tasks of restorative medicine is the rehabilitation of the body that has suffered from injuries, diseases or adverse environmental effects, and the restoration of the functional reserves of the human body. Currently, a search is underway for new treatment technologies, including the use of wound dressings with specified functional qualities.
Objective: To characterize the effect of a wound dressing based on an ion-track membrane modified with collagen and chitosan nanofibers on the efficiency of skin restoration in experimental animals after a severe thermal burn.
A five-year-old male presented with small bowel obstruction and a worm bolus on a plain abdominal radiograph. Peritonism and acidosis prompted laparotomy after a short period of resuscitation. At surgery a worm bolus had caused a small bowel volvulus with a segment of necrosis that was successfully managed by detorsion and resection.

Background: Intravascular imaging (IVI) complements coronary angiography and may help prevent coronary artery perforation (CAP) during percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI).
Objectives: The authors evaluated whether IVI-guided PCI is associated with a lower risk of PCI-related CAP in a real-world cohort.
Methods: This observational study analyzed consecutive PCI procedures from January 2006 to October 2023.
