The spiritual possession phenomenon (SPP), is a complex transnosological, transcultural syndrome, which is based on the patients' perception that some spiritual entity (spirit, demon, jinn, shaitan, «ikotka», dybbuk, Buddha, etc.) is influencing or possessing them. Modern classifications of diseases, aimed at expanding our ideas about the distinction between the norm and pathology of mental disorders, do not contribute to a clear psychopathological differentiation of SPP, the determination of its nosological affiliation and the choice of appropriate therapeutic tactics for these conditions.

For decades, research on technology use and mental health has been based on the assumption that identifiable structures of 'design' are psychologically relevant for their users. This has been central especially for the nosological emergence of 'behavioural addictions', which currently include two formal diagnoses on technology use: problems related to playing gambling games (gambling disorder) and videogames (gaming disorder). Alas, the research on identifying 'addictive' design structures has suffered from major construct validity issues.

Currently, there is no consensus among researchers about the nosological affiliation of an angiomyoadenomatous tumor.

Sleep disturbances are common in children and adolescents but still remain unrecognized and undertreated. Several classification systems of sleep disorders are available, which include recent attempts to develop more specific nosologic categories that reflect developmental aspects of sleep. The prevalence of sleep disorders has been studied across various samples of healthy, typically developing children and those with special medical, psychiatric, and neurodevelopmental needs.
