High-flow pancreaticoduodenal artery (PDA) aneurysms secondary to celiac trunk occlusion or stenosis have a high risk of rupture. Embolization offers a less invasive alternative to surgery. We evaluated the effectiveness and safety of retrograde embolization via the superior mesenteric artery of high-flow PDA aneurysms without celiac trunk revascularization.

Objectives: Mesenteric malperfusion in acute aortic dissection remains a life-threatening complication with no standardized treatment strategy. This study aimed to describe and evaluate the outcomes of our integrated approach combining exploratory laparotomy, immediate mesenteric reperfusion, and central aortic repair.
Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients with acute aortic dissection with a preoperative diagnosis of mesenteric malperfusion who were treated between August 2011 and November 2022.

Acute thromboembolism of the superior mesenteric artery (SMA) causing mesenteric ischemia has a grave prognosis with high mortality rates. Its rarity and non-specific symptoms often lead to delayed diagnosis and increased morbidity. Early signs can include pain out of proportion to physical findings, with abdominal distension, tenderness, and guarding appearing only in later stages when bowel necrosis has occurred.

Spontaneous transvaginal small bowel evisceration, without recent trauma or surgery, is extremely rare. Complications include bowel obstruction, perforation, gangrene, septicaemia and death, requiring urgent surgical intervention. We report a case of a woman in her late 60s, who presented with 70-75 cm of small intestine eviscerated through the vagina, alongside a long history of uterine and rectal prolapse.
