Background/purpose: The occurrence of post-vital pulp therapy (VPT) symptoms is perplexing for dentists, and root canal treatment (RCT) is preferred for such conditions. Furthermore, managing post-VPT symptoms, rather than performing RCT, would preserve pulp vitality and enhance VPT outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of VPT retrials in preserving pulp vitality and substituting RCT in teeth with post-VPT symptoms.

Background: Complicated crown-root fracture (CRF) involves severe injury to the crown, root, and pulp, and may be accompanied by multiple root fractures. The loss of a tooth has lifelong consequences for children and teenagers, but the maintenance of pulp health and the calcific healing of multiple root fractures are rarely reported in the literature.

Case Summary: This case reports healing of a permanent tooth with complicated crown-root and additional root fractures, in which pulp health was maintained.

Different types of feline papillomaviruses (PVs) are associated with a variety of skin lesions and neoplasia, such as papillomas and cell carcinomas, but the virus can also be found in healthy skin. In this review, the European Advisory Board on Cat Diseases (ABCD), a scientifically independent board of veterinary experts on feline infectious diseases from 11 European Countries, discusses the current knowledge of feline PV infections. Cats most likely become infected through lesions or abrasions of the skin.

Bovine brucellosis (bB) is a zoonosis mainly caused by the species in cattle. Bovine brucellosis can present with either a range of clinical symptoms, including spontaneous abortions in the last trimester of pregnancy, retained fetal membranes, and decreased milk production, or it can be asymptomatic. In Ecuador, vaccination against bB with S19 and/or RB51 is not mandatory and is the responsibility of the farmer.
