Background: Transgender men often experience body image dissatisfaction due to incongruence between their gender identity and physical appearance. Masculinizing mammoplasty (MM) aligns physical appearance with gender identity; however, its impact on body image satisfaction in Brazil has not been comprehensively assessed using validated tools.

Objectives: To evaluate satisfaction with chest appearance, nipple aesthetics, and body investment among transgender men in Brazil, comparing those who have undergone MM with those who have not, using validated tools, such as the BODY-Q Chest, BODY-Q Nipple, and Body Investment Scale.

Purpose: With the introduction of COVID-19 vaccines, there has been a proliferation of quantitative benefit-risk assessments (qBRAs). Prior work on other types of vaccines has found that published qBRAs have not always clearly reported methods and/or results needed to assist in the application of the qBRA findings. The aim was to systematically identify, review, and critically assess published COVID-19 vaccine qBRA.

Aim: Understanding of kidney function decline (KFD) after pelvic exenteration (PE) for colorectal cancer remains limited, and the effects of a long ileal conduit (IC) on kidney disorders are unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate long-term kidney function following PE in colorectal cancer and to evaluate the effects of IC length on KFD.

Method: This was a retrospective, single-centre cohort study.

Conventional molecular geometry searches on a potential energy surface (PES) utilize energy gradients from quantum chemical calculations. However, replacing energy calculations with noisy quantum computer measurements generates errors in the energies, which makes geometry optimization using the energy gradient difficult. One gradient-free optimization method that can potentially solve this problem is Bayesian optimization (BO).

A young boy developed steroid refractory GVHD post haploidentical transplant for relapsed B-ALL. He was on systemic immunosuppression with two immunosuppressants, and had history of CMV reactivation and tuberculosis. Eight months post-transplant, he was hospitalized with multi-drug-resistant gram-negative sepsis, and during the same episode, he developed penile lesions which progressed to dry gangrene of glans-penis.
