The aim of this study is to determine the mediating role of moral sensitivity in the effect of nurses' professional values on missed nursing care. A descriptive and correlational study was conducted with 640 nurses working in the inpatient units of a public and a private hospital with the MISSCARE Survey-Turkish, the Moral Sensitivity Questionnaire, and the Revised Nursing Professional Values Scale. Data analyses were performed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences 26.

Influence of Water Sorption on Ionic Conductivity in Polyether Electrolytes at Low Hydration.

ACS Macro Lett

January 2025

Department of Chemical Engineering, The University of California, Santa Barbara, Santa Barbara, California 93106, United States.

Ion-containing polymers are subject to a wide range of hydration conditions across electrochemical and water treatment applications. Significant work on dry polymer electrolytes for batteries and highly swollen membranes for water purification has informed our understanding of ion transport under extreme conditions. However, knowledge of intermediate conditions (i.

Neurodynamic models that simulate how micro-level alterations propagate upward to impact macroscopic neural circuits and overall brain function may offer valuable insights into the pathological mechanisms of schizophrenia (SCZ). In this study, we integrated a neurodynamic model with the classical Contrastive Variational Autoencoder (CVAE) to extract and evaluate macro-scale SCZ-specific features, including subject-level, region-level parameters, and time-varying states. Firstly, we demonstrated the robust fitting of the model within our multi-site dataset.

Medical practice has proven that chronic wounds can be treated successfully if the dressing is chosen according to the healing phase of the wound. Correct intervention from the hemostasis and inflammatory phase can prevent oxidative stress and ensure optimal conditions for healing. It is important to design a new wound dressing that does not cause additional injury, has an antioxidant effect, removes dead cells, and promotes wound healing.

Article Synopsis
  • The study presents an optimized workflow for analyzing formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) patient tissues to uncover molecular insights linked to clinical outcomes, utilizing advanced techniques like Adaptive Focused Acoustics (AFA) and liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS).
  • The method allows for the analysis of up to 96 samples, identifying between 8,000-10,000 unique proteins with a high level of quantitative accuracy (<20% median CVs).
  • Applied to lung adenocarcinoma FFPE blocks, the workflow demonstrates superior deep proteome coverage and efficiency, significantly contributing to biomarker discovery and proteomic research in archived samples.
