Purpose: Tranexamic acid (TXA) is widely used as an antifibrinolytic drug. However, studies to determine the optimal blood concentration of TXA have produced inconsistent results. During cardiac surgery, cardiopulmonary bypass (CPB) has serious effects on drug distribution, elimination, and plasma concentration.

Studies have demonstrated that resveratrol exerts several pharmacological effects. However, the pharmacokinetic parameters are not completely established. This study describes the plasma pharmacokinetics and tissue distribution of resveratrol after administration by different routes and doses in rats.

The transfer of radionuclides discharged into rivers by nuclear facilities are conditioned by their solid/liquid fractionation, commonly represented by an equilibrium approach using the distribution coefficient K. This coefficient, largely used in modeling, assumes an instantaneous and completely reversible reaction. However, such assumptions are rarely verified.

The identification of distribution characteristics, pollution sources, and potential human health risks of heavy metals in groundwater is crucial for the scientific planning and rational development of groundwater resources in arid-semiarid regions. In this study, 46 groundwater samples were collected and analyzed using hydrogeochemical modeling and multivariate statistical analysis methods to reveal the pollution characteristics and speciation distribution of 11 heavy metals (As, B, Pb, Sb, Tl, Mn, Ba, Cd, Co, Cr, and Al) in the Datong Basin. The absolute principal component-linear regression (APCS-MLR) model and health risk assessment model (HRA) were employed to determine the sources and health risk levels of heavy metals in groundwater.
