Small innocuous growths on the face usually do not pose difficulty in diagnosis on histopathology. However, some benign inflammatory lesions might mimic malignancy and hence need further investigations for final diagnosis. The distinction between a benign/inflammatory/malignant lesion needs no emphasis as the treatment plan, prognosis and the patient's well-being depends on it.

We describe a clinical case involving a 62-year-old white male, diagnosed with lymphocytoma cutis (Spiegler-Fendt sarcoid) in the cephalic segment. The diagnosis was carried out by pathological study and confirmed by immunohistochemical panel: evidence of polyclonality. View Article and Find Full Text PDFWe have revised the concept of pseudolymphoma, some of its classifications and its differences with the malignant lymphoma, which sometimes are only an evolution, not existing other elements of judgement. We publish the summary of ten lymphocytoma cutis cases studied by us, which we believe are the paradigm of the B pseudo-lymphoma due to the clinical and hystological controversy in our patients. One of them shifted to malignant lymphoma after 30 years of evolution as a lymphocytoma.
