Purpose: The aim of the study was to assess the expression of caspase-8 and procaspase-3 proteins in gastric cancer (GC) cells and non-cancerous mucosa in relation to clinical and morphological characteristics of the tumor, postoperative survival as well as other apoptosis-related proteins.
Materials And Methods: The study included 91 GC patients. Expression of the proteins was assessed using immunohistochemical method.

Introduction: Cancer of the uterine cervix (CUC) is still one of the most frequent oncological diagnoses in women. The specific interactions between the tumor cells of CUC and the cells and tissues in the tumor microenvironment can affect cancer cells' invasive and metastatic potential and can modulate tumor's progression and death. CD47 is a trans-membranous immunoglobulin, expressed in many cells.

Background: Gall bladder carcinoma (GBC) is a multi-factorial disease, involving multiple genetic alterations. The present pilot study aims to explore some of the molecular pathways, by studying immunohistochemical (IHC) expression of biomarkers (HER2/neu, KRAS, and VEGF) in GBC with their correlation with various clinicopathological parameters.
Aim Of The Study: To study the expression of prognostic biomarkers (HER2/neu, KRAS and VEGF-A) in GBC and their correlation with clinico-morphological parameters.

Breast cancer (BC) is the second most frequent type of cancer for both sexes combined, after lung cancer. Triple-negative BC (TNBC) molecular subtype is characterized by lack of estrogen receptor (ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) immunoexpression or amplification and represent 10-20% of all BC cases. The issue of the present study was to analyze the associations between programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) immunoexpression and distribution of stromal tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes (stTILs) combined with clinico-morphological features of patients with TNBC.

In this study we evaluated the expression of SATB2 protein in colorectal cancer (CRC) and its association with microsatellite instability (MSI) status, inflammation and hypoxia. Immunohistochemical SATB2 expression was observed in 111 CRC samples. We assessed the correlation between SATB2 expression and clinico-morphological parameters, MSI, COX-2 and HIF-1α expression.
