Nonlocal Huygens' meta-lens for high-quality-factor spin-multiplexing imaging.

Light Sci Appl

January 2025

Department of Electrical Engineering, City University of Hong Kong, Kowloon, Hong Kong SAR, China.

Combining bright-field and edge-enhanced imaging affords an effective avenue for extracting complex morphological information from objects, which is particularly beneficial for biological imaging. Multiplexing meta-lenses present promising candidates for achieving this functionality. However, current multiplexing meta-lenses lack spectral modulation, and crosstalk between different wavelengths hampers the imaging quality, especially for biological samples requiring precise wavelength specificity.

DNA methylation-induced suppression of PRDM16 in colorectal cancer metastasis through the PPARγ/EMT pathway.

Cell Signal

January 2025

Department of Pathology, the First Affiliated Hospital, Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China. Electronic address:

Background: PR/SET domain 16 (PRDM16) is an important transcription factor in the differentiation process of brown adipocytes, which plays an important role in maintaining the special morphological characteristics and cellular function of brown adipocytes. However, the role of PRDM16 in human colorectal cancer (CRC) is currently unknown.

Methods: Methylation sequencing, methylation-specific PCR (MSP), multiple bioinformatics analyses, Co-Immunoprecipitation (Co-IP) assay and Immunofluorescence (IF) staining, in vitro and in vivo functional experiments were performed to study the biological role of PRDM16 in CRC progression.

Electronic address:

Tributyltin is a biocide and bisphenol S is a plasticizer. The effects of the TBT+BPS mix on thyroid axis function are unknown. This study evaluated the effects of subacute exposure to TBT and BPS, both in mix and alone, in female young Wistar rats.

Retinal Phenotypes and Single-cell Sequencing Analysis of Ush2a Knockout Mice.

Exp Eye Res

January 2025

Shenzhen Eye Hospital, Jinan University, Shenzhen Eye Institute, Shenzhen, 518040 Guangdong, China. Electronic address:

Usher syndrome is a rare autosomal recessive genetic disorder that primarily affects both vision and hearing, manifesting as sensorineural hearing loss and progressive vision loss caused by retinitis pigmentosa. The pathogenesis of retinal degeneration in Usher syndrome is still largely unknown. In this study, a novel Ush2a knockout mouse model was successfully constructed using CRISPR/Cas9 technology.
