Cancer, a complicated disease characterized by aberrant cellular metabolism, has emerged as a formidable global health challenge. Since the discovery of abnormal aldolase A (ALDOA) expression in liver cancer for the first time, its overexpression has been identified in numerous cancers, including colorectal cancer (CRC), breast cancer (BC), cervical adenocarcinoma (CAC), non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), gastric cancer (GC), hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC), pancreatic cancer adenocarcinoma (PDAC), and clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC). Moreover, ALDOA overexpression promotes cancer cell proliferation, invasion, migration, and drug resistance, and is closely related to poor prognosis of patients with cancer.

Unlabelled: Coumarin derivatives are one of the naturally occurring bioactive molecule. Dihydropyrano coumarins are one of the medicinally important derivatives of coumarin which have been reported to exhibit various bioactivity. However, there are no reports on their antihyperglycemic activities.

Background: Minimizing the duration of mechanical ventilation is one of the most important therapeutic goals during the care of preterm infants at neonatal intensive care units (NICUs). The rate of extubation failure among preterm infants is between 16% and 40% worldwide. Numerous studies have been conducted on the assessment of extubation suitability, the optimal choice of respiratory support around extubation, and the effectiveness of medical interventions.

We developed a set of ordinary differential equations describing changes in tumor size (growth and regression) under the influence of five cocktails of treatments. Model calibration relies on three tumor volume measurements obtained over a 14-day period in a genetically engineered pancreatic cancer model (KrasLSLG12D-Trp53LSLR172H-Pdx1-Cre).

Background: Minimal access liver surgery (MALS) is considered superior to open liver resection (OLR) in reducing the perioperative risk in patients affected by hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). No national-level comparisons exist based on procedure complexity. This study aims to compare postoperative complications, postoperative ascites (POA), and major complications (MC) between MALS and OLR.
