Background: Cancer immunotherapy is a relatively new approach to cancer treatment. Peptides that target specific pathways and cells involved in immunomodulation can potentially improve the efficacy of cancer therapy. Recently, we reported iPD-L1 as a novel inhibitor peptide that specifically targets the cancer cell ligand PD-L1 (programmed death ligand 1).

The dried fig cv. Sabz of Iran, distinguishes out among the several fig cultivars for its unique characteristics and excellent properties. The aims to this study were 1) Carefully monitoring the resulting phenotypic changes in growth patterns, leaf morphology, shoot traits, root characteristics, and other relevant traits after irradiated with different gamma rays; 2) Investigating the LD25, 50, 75 and GR25, 50, 75 values at different gamma radiation doses for chose optimum dose.

In Sweden, around 20 % of the potable water comes from groundwater sources and about one million people drink water from their private wells. In areas with moderate or high abundance of naturally occurring radionuclides in the bedrock, the groundwater could be enhanced with radio and chemically toxic elements such as uranium, radium, lead and polonium. Therefore, this study aims to carry out a comprehensive analysis of the behaviour and radiological impact of naturally occurring radionuclides in well water.

In the present study, liquid scintillation counting triple to double coincidence ratio technique is used to ascertain the gross α and β activity in groundwater samples collected from the Beldih mine region in the vicinity of the South Purulia Shear Zone (SPSZ) of Chota Nagpur Plateau in eastern India. A total of sixty samples were collected from deep tube wells located in the study area to assess the potential health threats caused by α and β emitting radionuclides present in these water samples. Average gross α activity in the region of study is 0.

To establish a radiological national reference for agricultural soil across Tunisian oases and assess the risk to human health associated with date consumption, with a focus on comparing the impact of traditional and modern fertilization, radiological parameters and activity levels of ⁶Ra, Th, and ⁰K were determined for 27 oases. These oases were located in three southern Tunisian governorates. The activity concentration of ⁶Ra, Th, and ⁰K was measured using a 3 × 3 inch NaI(Tl) scintillation detector, which was found to be 21.
