Cheek swabs, heterogeneous samples consisting primarily of buccal epithelial cells, are widely used in pediatric DNA methylation studies and biomarker creation. However, the decrease in buccal proportion with age in adults remains unexamined in childhood. We analyzed cheek swabs from 4626 typically developing children 2-months to 20-years-old.

Recent evidence indicates that endocrine resistance in estrogen receptor-positive (ER+) breast cancer is closely correlated with phenotypic characteristics of epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition (EMT). Nonetheless, identifying tumor tissues with a mesenchymal phenotype remains challenging in clinical practice. In this study, we validated the correlation between EMT status and resistance to endocrine therapy in ER+ breast cancer from a transcriptomic perspective.

Background: Flowering is a complex, finely regulated process involving multiple phytohormones and transcription factors. However, flowering regulation in pitaya (Hylocereus polyrhizus) remains largely unexamined. This study addresses this gap by investigating gibberellin-3 (GA3) effects on flower bud (FB) development in pitaya.

Limited research exists on this comparison in short antagonist cycles for this patient group.
Materials And Methods: This retrospective cohort study involved 165 POR patients aged 18-45 years who underwent IVF between 2018 and 2022.

Background: The role of cyclic guanosine 3',5'-monophosphate (cGMP) after acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is not well understood despite its significance as a second messenger of natriuretic peptides (NPs) in cardiovascular disease. We investigated the association between the NP-cGMP cascade and left ventricular reverse remodelling (LVRR) in anterior AMI.
Methods: 67 patients with their first anterior AMI (median age, 64 years; male, 76%) underwent prospective evaluation of plasma concentrations of the molecular forms of A-type and B-type natriuretic peptide (BNP) and cGMP from immediately after primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PPCI) to 10 months post-AMI.
