Aim: this study aimed to examine the effect of different storage times (0, 7, 24, 57, and 119 days) on the volatile components of Shenling Baizhu powder across different preparation processes (Pharmacopoeia, ultra-micro pulverization-pulverization, and microparticle design methods). The findings offer insights to guide quality control measures for Shenling Baizhu powder.
Methods: gas chromatography-ion mobility spectrometry (GC-IMS) was employed to ascertain the volatile components in Shenling Baizhu powder at various storage times across different preparation processes.

fungi are widespread pathogens of food crops, primarily associated with the formation of mycotoxins. Therefore, effective mitigation strategies for these toxicogenic microorganisms are required. In this study, the potential of pulsed electric field (PEF) as an advanced technology of increasing use in the food processing industry was investigated to minimize the viability of pathogens and to characterize the PEF-induced changes at the metabolomic level.

Palm trees () are among the most popular ornamental plants worldwide. Despite extensive research on the fungi associated with , the diversity and ecological dynamics of fungi affecting ornamental palms remain poorly studied, although they have significant impact on palm health and economic value. Furthermore, while research on palm fungal diversity has traditionally focused on tropical assemblages, ornamental palms in temperate climates offer a unique opportunity to explore the diversity of palm fungi in non-native habitats.

The primary challenge is to clarify how the polarization field controls the OER dynamic pathway at a molecular level. Here, electrochemical fingerprint tests were used, together with theoretical calculations, to systematically investigate the free energy change in oxo and hydroxyl intermediates on TiO-BaTiO core-shell nanowires (BTO@TiO) upon polarization in different pH environments.

This study used integrative omics to address the response of key elements of the grapevine holobiont to contrasted pedoclimatic conditions found in distinct subregions of Douro Valley (Portugal). A metabolic OPLS-DA model predicted with 100 % accuracy the geographic origin of berries; higher UV radiation, higher temperature and lower precipitation stimulated the accumulation of phenolic acids, flavonols and malvidin conjugates, in detriment of amino acids, organic acids, flavan-3-ols, proanthocyanidins and non-malvidin anthocyanins. Metabarcoding showed a trade-off between bacteria and fungal diversity among subregions, with , and acting as intraregional microbial markers.
