Objective: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of acupuncture as a supplementary treatment for mild to moderate depression in hemodialysis patients.

Method: This multicenter, randomized, controlled, single-masked trial included 64 hemodialysis patients aged 18-75 divided into two groups. One group received genuine acupuncture, while the other received sham acupuncture over 12 weeks.
