Background And Aims: The significance of left ventricular mass and chamber volumes from non-contrast computed tomography (CT) for predicting major adverse cardiovascular events (MACE) has not been studied. Our objective was to evaluate the role of artificial intelligence-enabled multi-chamber cardiac volumetry from non-contrast CT for long-term risk stratification in asymptomatic subjects without known coronary artery disease.
Methods: Our study included 2022 asymptomatic individuals (55.

Background: In light of the complex and high-risk nature of parenteral nutrition (PN), reviewing PN processing steps is essential to minimize patient harm. The main steps include ordering, verification, compounding, and administration. Electronic health records (EHRs) have become increasingly utilized and can play a critical role in enhancing the safety of PN processin.

Automatic and precise fluid manipulation is essential in microfluidic applications. Microfluidic metering, in particular, plays a critical role in achieving the multiplexity of assays, reaction consistency, quantitative analysis, and the scalability of microfluidic operations. However, existing fluid metering techniques often face limitations, such as high complexity, high cost, reliance on external accessories, and lack of precision, which have restricted their use in multiplexed and quantitative analysis, especially in portable applications.

The diagnosis, comparative and population study of cardiac radiology data require heart segmentation on increasingly large amount of images from different modalities/chambers/patients under various imaging views. Most existing automatic cardiac segmentation methods are often limited to single image segmentation with regulated modality/region settings or well-cropped ROI areas, which is impossible for large datasets due to enormous device protocols and institutional differences. A pure data-driven unsupervised segmentation without regulated setting requirements is crucial in this scenario, and will significantly automate the manual work and adopt the various changes of modality, subject or view.

This work describes a microfluidic device integrated with multichamber polymerase chain reaction (PCR) and multichannel separation for parallel genetic analysis. The microdevice consists of three functional units: temperature control, multiple PCR (four chambers PCR), and multiple channel separation (four separation channels, each channel connected to a PCR chamber). Platinum (Pt)/titanium (Ti) microheater was used to ensure homogeneous temperature field, and Pt-chip sensor was used for temperature monitoring.
