Objective: The oncologic safety of less-radical surgery for early-stage cervical cancer is currently being actively investigated. Given the paucity of data, this study assessed the temporal trends and oncologic outcomes associated with modified radical hysterectomy for stage IB1 (≤2 cm) cervical cancer in the United States.
Methods: This retrospective cohort study used data from the Commission-on-Cancer's National Commission on Cancer Database.

Objectives: Dental patient-reported outcomes, especially the Oral Health-Related Quality of Life (OHRQoL) construct, are vital for evidence-based dentistry. This construct includes four dimensions (4D): Oral Function, Orofacial Pain, Orofacial Appearance, and Psychosocial Impact. This study updates previous work characterizing 4D OHRQoL impairment among patients in dental hygiene (DH) and dental therapy (DT) settings.

Objective: To evaluate the long-term hearing outcomes of infants with symptomatic congenital cytomegalovirus (CMV) disease who received 16 mg/kg of oral valganciclovir (VGCV) twice daily for six months.
Study Design: We have currently performed a long-term extension study of an investigator-initiated, single-arm, prospective, multicenter clinical trial, in which 24 infants were treated with VGCV. Hearing outcomes up to three years after treatment initiation were described and the longitudinal changes in the proportion of "Improved hearing" were analyzed using logistic regression.

Climate change exerts a substantial impact on urban livability at a global scale, resulting in an escalation in the frequency of floods, heat waves, and droughts that pose significant challenges to the quality of life in different regions. The current study assesses the livability trends of 166 districts in Central India from 2001 to 2021 by employing a District Livability Index (DLI) and geospatial analysis. It is noted that economic factors, particularly the GSDP and the extent of industrial progress, have a pivotal role in influencing enhancements in livability.

Invertebrate research ethics has largely been ignored compared to the consideration of higher order animals, but more recent focus has questioned this trend. Using the robotic control of Aurelia aurita as a case study, we examine ethical considerations in invertebrate work and provide recommendations for future guidelines. We also analyze these issues for prior bioethics cases, such as cyborg insects and the 'microslavery' of microbes.
