This article sheds fresh light on popular attitudes towards politics in the 1940s. It does so by reading against the grain of archived material from Mass-Observation's (M-O) study of the 1945 General Election, as it played out in the constituency of Fulham East. Where the formal reports from this investigation have underpinned influential accounts of 'apathy' in 1945, this article returns to the original field notes from the investigation.

Purpose: While stroke is becoming increasingly prevalent in young people (<65 years), diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and management continue to reflect the needs of older people. This study aimed to characterise and appreciate the healthcare experiences of young stroke survivors, whose needs and trajectories differ from those of older people.
Materials And Methods: Qualitative in-depth semi-structured interviews were conducted with 11 stroke survivors aged 18-49 using virtual conferencing software.

Objective: This study aimed to investigate the relationship between social isolation, perceived ageism and subjective well-being among rural Chinese older adults and its mechanisms of action.
Methods: A total of 403 rural resident older adults were surveyed from March to April 2024. Data were collected using the General Information Questionnaire, the General Alienation Scale (GAS), the Perceived Ageism Questionnaire (PAQ), and the Memorial University of Newfoundland Scale of Happiness (MUNSH).

Background: Social alienation refers to the state of feeling isolated, helpless, and unsatisfied due to maintaining distance from others or avoiding social interaction and activities. This phenomenon is caused by a lack of social skills, social anxiety, physical health problems, and other reasons. Older maintenance hemodialysis patients are exposed to a higher risk of social alienation.

Purpose/objective: To explore how spousal caregivers of older people undergoing rehabilitation experience gender within the Greek community.
Research Method/design: A psychological phenomenological design and analysis were used to illuminate the unique meanings 11 spousal caregivers attribute to their experience of gender by gathering qualitative data via interviews.
Results: The data provided an insight into the structure of the experience of gender for the spousal caregivers as a normative diachronic identity in a succession of phases: normative constitution, alienation, and reparation.
