Mass ivermectin (IVM) treatment of livestock (MITL) is under consideration as a malaria control tool as IVM-treated livestock are lethal to blood-feeding Anopheles mosquitoes. MITL is routinely used as a prophylaxis in livestock to reduce the burden and transmission of helminth infections. Recently, there has been a shift in the veterinary IVM market in Southeast Asia wherein nearly all standard IVM formulations are now co-formulated with clorsulon (CLO).

Background: Resistance to chemoimmunotherapy in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) necessitates effective prognostic biomarkers. Although F-fluorodeoxyglucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT) has shown potential for efficacy assessment, it has been mainly evaluated in immuno-monotherapy setting, lacking elaborations in the scenarios of immunotherapy combined with chemotherapy. To tackle this dilemma, we aimed to build a non-invasive PET/CT-based model for stratifying tumor heterogeneity and predicting survival in advanced NSCLC patients undergoing chemoimmunotherapy.

However, the mechanisms underlying its elevated expression and the implications for tumor metabolism remain unclear. Ethnopharmacological Relevance: The classic TCM prescription, Shoutai Wan (STW), is extensively used in clinical settings to manage threatened miscarriage and Recurrent spontaneous abortion (RSA). The complexity of pregnancy physiology, coupled with diverse etiologies, and the specificity of energy metabolism for normal embryo attachment and development,pose challenges to clinical diagnosis and treatment. The specific molecular mechanisms of how STW regulates these biological processes and contributes to the treatment of RSA remain to be elucidated.

As global temperatures rise, heat-related chronic health disorders are predicted to become more prevalent. We tested whether a single exposure to acute heat illness, using a preclinical mouse model of exertional heat stroke (EHS), can induce late-emerging health disorders that progress into chronic disease. Following EHS, mice were followed for 3 months; after two weeks of recovery, half were placed on a Western diet to determine if previous EHS exposure amplifies the negative consequences of an atherogenic diet.
