Dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) is a common tropical disease. An increasing frequency of dengue fever and DHF in pregnancy is being observed, with a rising incidence among adults. This case report describes the management of a woman in her early 30s, gravida 3, para 2, at 34 weeks of gestation, presenting with DHF and dengue shock syndrome, with a history of two previous caesarean sections.

Background: Dengue fever is a common cause of acute febrile illness in the tropics and requires hospitalization for intravenous (IV) fluid therapy in a minority of patients. Predicting which patients will progress to severe disease is challenging. Soluble tumour necrosis factor receptor 1 (sTNFR1) is associated with severe dengue and may have prognostic value.

Background: Although the SARS-CoV-2 and dengue viruses seriously endanger human health, there is presently no vaccine that can stop a person from contracting both viruses at the same time. In this study, four antigens from SARS-CoV-2 and dengue virus were tested for immunogenicity, antigenicity, allergenicity, and toxicity and chosen to predict dominant T- and B-cell epitopes.
Methods: For designing a multi-epitope vaccine, the sequences were retrieved, and using bioinformatics and immunoinformatics, the physicochemical and immunological properties, as well as secondary structures, of the vaccine were predicted and studied.

Dengue fever is spreading rapidly around the world, affecting nearly half the world's population. Causes include urbanization, human mobility, climate change and the spread of mosquito vectors such as In 2023 and 2024, there was a marked increase in cases and deaths worldwide. In mainland France, the increase in imported cases has generated local transmissions.

Introduction: The pathognomonic feature of dengue shock syndrome (DSS) is a transient capillary leak syndrome resulting in profound intravascular volume depletion. WHO management guidelines recommend particular parenteral fluid regimens during the critical leakage phase, including synthetic colloid solutions in certain circumstances. We set out to describe the actual fluid management strategies employed in different settings and to investigate relationships with clinical outcomes.
