Background And Objectives: Breast cancers (BCs) of patients with paraneoplastic neurologic syndromes and anti-Yo antibodies (Yo-PNS) overexpress human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2) and display genetic alterations and overexpression of the Yo-onconeural antigens. They are infiltrated by an unusual proportion of B cells. We investigated whether these features were also observed in patients with PNS and anti-Ri antibodies (Ri-PNS).

Dogs can discriminate between people infected with SARS-CoV-2 from those uninfected, although their results vary depending on the settings in which they are exposed to infected individuals or samples of urine, sweat or saliva. This variability likely depends on the viral load of infected people, which may be closely associated with physiological changes in infected patients. Determining this viral load is challenging, and a practical approach is to use the cycle threshold (Ct) value of a RT-qPCR test.

There is an increasing need for biomarkers of senescent cell burden to facilitate the selection of participants for clinical trials. p16 is encoded by the CDKN2A locus, which produces five variant transcripts in humans, two of which encode homologous p16 proteins: p16, encoded by p16_variant 1, and p16ɣ, encoded by p16_variant 5. While distinct quantitative polymerase chain reaction primers can be designed for p16_variant 5, primers for p16_variant 1 also measure p16_variant 5 (p16_variant 1 + 5).

Understanding the impact of surface copper valence states on the distribution of electrochemical carbon dioxide products is critical. Herein, CuO@Cu2O with a Cu2+/Cu+ interface was fabricated using wet chemical etching approach. The hollow shape offered a large region for gas adsorption, while the interfacial mixed chemical state of Cu2+/Cu+ with tunable control ratio raised the local density of CHO* and accelerated the carbon-carbon coupling reaction.

The hexadehydro-Diels-Alder (HDDA) reaction is a cycloisomerization between a conjugated diyne and a tethered diynophile that generates -benzyne derivatives. Considerable fundamental understanding of aryne reactivity has resulted from this body of research. The multi-yne cycloisomerization substrate is typically pre-formed and the (rate-limiting) closure of this diyne/diynophile pair to produce the isomeric benzyne generally requires thermal input, often requiring reaction temperatures of >100 °C and times of 16-48 h to achieve near-full conversion.
